Rydex is currently in private testing. This page explains, in plain language, what information is used by the app today and what users should expect while the service is still early.
Information used by Rydex
Rydex uses account information needed for sign in, such as your email address and authentication provider. If you use Google login, your public Google name and avatar may be used to create your rider profile.
Your rider profile can include display name, avatar, motorcycle, riding style, experience level, preferred distance, availability, city preference and bio.
Ride and chat data
When you create or join a ride, Rydex stores ride details, route information, participant records and timestamps needed to keep the ride page working.
Ride chat messages are stored so confirmed riders and hosts can coordinate. Ride chat is intended for ride planning and coordination, not for sharing sensitive personal information.
What is public
Public ride pages can be visible to guests. Public rider profiles can show basic rider information and hosted rides.
Avoid adding private contact details, addresses or sensitive personal information to public profile fields, ride descriptions or ride chats.
Where data is stored
Rydex uses Supabase for authentication, database storage and app data. Some browser-local data may still be used for preferences or fallback behavior during private testing.
Early access changes
Because Rydex is still evolving, this policy may be updated as features, hosting, moderation, account management and public beta requirements become more defined.
